We're using Arena, Chessbase GUIs, Lokasoft Chesspartner, Shredder Classic GUI.
Did I forget something? :-)

The books are already publicly availabe, eg. I use Michael Scheidl's
pb12moves.ctg, others use perfect8.ctg or Harry Schnapp's books. The rule is,
that no books are used that are especially created and tuned for one single
engine. As you can often see in tournaments, engines win games just because
their book is well prepared (as seen by Zappa in world championship). But that's
not what we want to test. We want to test pure engine strength.
