Could it not be that simple to check if other known chess programs are running on your computer ? If you play say on ICC with Blitzin, then the blitzin interface program can check to see if you have Fritz9 running, and gives a flag for further detection. And if you use Ctrl+Tab a lot could indicate that you are consulting another programs. My Best Henrik
