Actually, Thinker 5.0b will probably not be tested as Lance has made significant
changes to it. Therefore I can't see much value in testing it further and
neither can Lance.

We wanted to form an initial solid list where all engines had played 30 game
matches against each other.
After that, other engines would be added in and eventually testers would have
the freedom of choice in running tournaments and matches with whichever
participants they wish.

It could well be that eventually we start a 40 moves in 80 minutes list and/or
40 moves in 120 mins list once our blitz and 40 moves in 40 minutes lists are
well established.
However that's just a possibility at this stage and is a long way off.
This is one reason why we benchmarked to the Athlon 3800+. It allows us a longer
period of opportunity.

As Sarah quite rightly stated though, we don't see ourselves competing with
CEGT, SSDF, Kurt, Sedat and others. ALL provide extremely useful information to
the computer chess community and we're just aiming to be a small part of the big
picture.

Regards, Graham.
