I'm sorry if my message is unclear to you. But to be fair, yours is usually
unclear to me too. Not this time so perhaps I should answer.

Well, this is probably semantics. If it's "more than" a hobby, it can be a
livelihood.

But in any case, it doesn't matter

But in any case let's not get into a semantics debate about "more than a hobby"
means. The point I'm trying to make is, how much passion, how seriously someone
takes a certain activity is a choice one chooses to make. There is no right
amount. You agree.

I wonder if Fernando would agree with what you are saying. So what exactly do
you think he is complaining about?

>Let me explain what his problem really is:

<psychoanalysis snipped>

Ah so you are here arguing with me because you have a rival psychoanalysis!

Sadly When you talk about so and so general, I have no clue what you are trying
to say. Perhaps could you care to repeat it again in simple english without
trying to sound intellectual by drawing parallels to historical figures?

I supposed you could say I'm 'stalking' Fernando. But not in the sense that I
follow him around reading every posts of his , but yes when he draws attention
to himself with new threads, and launches on his lectures, I do sit up and take
notice. I lecture the lecturer.

And no he's not the biggest ass_e on this planet. Though i admit, my impression
of him based on posts is negative with respect to his desire to seek attention
(which applies to you too by the way).

I have never said he's evil, nor have I called him 'fool' or any other nasty
terms which he has heaped on other people (all jokingly of course).

Let me answer you directly. You are not stupid, so it is not you

Why wouldn't a chinese 'stalk' Fernando? Or do you think an american, German or
whatever nationality would be more likely? From there can you deduce who I am?
Sune maybe? LOL. Paranoids.

Let me help you. I'm not saying it true of me, but supposedly chinese care a lot
for 'face'. So one would certainly be a lot sensitive to insults and talking
down lessons by someone who sets himself up to be an expert.

That you once were with Fern in a
>heated argument under a different name? Just try to get over it.

It interesting that Fern thought so too. I suppose that's common enough, for
people to dislike because of some personal incident. But to the limits of my
memory, I have never had a argument with him (including "accounts under a
different name" lol) over anything else. My dislike of how he acts stems
directly from his posts the way he posts.

Believe it or not.

Always? He must be a saint then . But you already said he isn't. What normal
person wouldn't get hurt, when his posts (which arguably shouldn't be deleted)
are deleted? Particularly one who is celebrity, one who is aware of his own
standing in CCC being one of the old guard? One who no doubt has a very healthy
ego being famous.

You claim to be a psychologist, Rolf, please read Fern's post in this thread
again, and tell me he intends to only educate everyone, and that it has
*nothing* to do with his posts being deleted.

In additional do refer to various threads with me, where he admitted he does get
angry and fustrated at fools (or some other colorful phrase that he loves to
use). Now tell me again, does Fern never get angry?

In your view Fern must be a saint.

Bend his head? Where ever did you get this idea I recommend he do this? No
normal person even a older timer would think of going to a forum and lecturing
others on how to live life, that their concerns are trival (unless they are
about other stuff) etc. So according to you, everyone is bending their heads?

Except maybe one who is used to being considered special, and being watched.
Just like how you see hollywood people using their fame to hawk products,
camapaign on issues etc. Fern has no special skills with CC, so i guess he seeks
attention in other ways. Apparantly he's not happy with all the attention he
gets with his connections to chile grandmasters or when he interviews chess
personalities....

He might be a celebrity in Chile. But why should he act like one in CCC? There
are many people on CCC who in the context of CC are real celebrities and they
don't go around telling people how life should be led. That they lack humor ,
that x is trival.

If I wanted to be lectured, I would rather be lectured by them, at least I
admire them.

Ah the ultimate putdown. I'm old, so i'm right.

Ah yes, you are perhaps so old, that you can't even think straight.
