Hi Uri, <<Toga is not a bitboard program so I do not understand the 64 bit title. Do 64 bits help Toga to be faster and if yes how much faster? >Higher Class: > >1. Aristarch 4.50 (demoted) >2. SOS 5 for Arena (demoted) >3. Zappa 1.1 64-bit 2CPU 512MB (demoted) >4. Glaurung 060105 TR (demoted) >5. Naum 1.82 (demoted) >6. E.T.Chess 18/11/2005 >7. WildCat 6.0 >8. Little Goliath Evolution >9. Scorpio 1.6X5 2CPU>> the Toga 1.1a 64-bit version is a special compile by Bryan Hofmann running faster here. It can be downloaded here: http://cito.atspace.com/other.html The Bryan Hofmann compiles are known for their speed and also the Crafty Cito 1.4.2 version with 2CPU and 64-bit is having tremendous results here. <<If 64 bits can help every program then why not using it for glaurung and Scorpio that are programs with free source code and I am almost sure that the same person who compiled 64 bit version could ask them for the source of some private version and get it?>> For those who can give to me a 64-bit version this will of course be used. Usually it should not make so much difference for those only optimized for AMD64 like for example Jonny, but only for engines especially written as 64-bit engines. Uri
