It's a huge problem:

1) think about the headers in CB. you have name header, tournament name,
tournament sites, sources, commentaries etc. years ago that was different: CB
hadnt different data bases (files) for these parameters or variables bt they had
a fixed header that looked like this: a fixed number in the database for the
game, then the two players whirte and black and then a second line with the
whole tournament, site and seperated by a semikolon the source. The time came
when CB changed their format and also INFORMATOR changed his by just pasting the
number of INF and number of game - like 45/544 - into the notation itself before
the first move as a comment so to speak. At the time they had sort of routine
that this could be pasted. I forgot the details. You know, this is forced by the
new format where a particular tournament has one single name say INTEL or so
with the site Tilburg. Now in my old tournament line I have this: Tilburg 45/544
for a particular single game with these numbers. That means in the end for over
200 games I have the same number of tournaments. Tilburg with that number. This
is what I want to be corrected. As I said it is possible to delete all these
numbers in seconds but then I lose the nice numbers to quote from INF. INF is
the highest possible game commentary available. So that I want to keep the
numbers to be able to make quotations. Well, tongue in cheek, in general. Not
that I absolutely needed it. :)

2) Now the even worse problem. CB has a nice feature called ripping databases of
games you dont have yet. That goes automatically. Yes, if you have correct naked
tournament names. I with my 200 names have all these seperate pseudo tournament
for a single event and my ripping cant detect if it's a real double because I
assume that CB works with the tournament lines in the first place for a fast
ripping of million bases. - Since you cant know the CB code I see no possibility
how you want to write a routine to clean up the tournament and then past the
content into the first commentary line in the notation. Famous Nunn once had
such features that substituted CB programs in important extents. Suddenly you
could change names and tournaments at once - all on DOS level... Nunn always
wrote that he had done that for himself... Ok, fine, if you can do it for
yourself and then give it to the community in person of Rolf, fine! Thanks! :)

3) I would say I give 15 € for such a nice tool. - Or just let me be your
manager and I negotiate with CB and we two become millionaires and then could
marry Marilyn Monroe. How's that?
