Maybe there is some extend of captures at the first ply espacailly when other moves are not captures so you can try the following positions with Hiarcs and Tiger. I may understand finding at depth 2 that 1...d5 2.Qh6 threats mate but depth 1 seems too much. You can claim that pawn at f6 and Qh6 is a common pattern so here is another example Again Rybka does not protect d7 at depth 1 and play c5 this time.
