Why should this be so urgent? Hiarcs already takes full advantage of the present
technology of Palm ARM, and its rating is exceedingly high for anything in
existence, about 15-17 years ago, probably even stronger than deep thought was,
and possibly stronger even now, than any dedicated computer.
And it is strong enough for anyone who is travelling or waiting for a bus. Even
plenty strong enough for someone who goes away for a few days, to have with him.

If you want the programming of Rybka, without the better hardware, so it would
be e ven stronger still. But since you have Rybka, it's benefit is the ultimate
analysis and perfection in chess that is possiblr at present, and to put it into
a Palm or ppc, will be an insult to it.

In other words, I would have thought that we have enough with what is available
now, for Palm.

But the stronger the better, is always true. But I don't think that once we get
to the ultimate with PC, we then have to try and aim to repeat it on pocket
comp. or Palm. And then to repeat it for wristwatch or Nokia phone etc.
