Hello all, I haven't been keeping up much with computer chess programs for the past two years. I was wondering if someone could provide some links or describe some of the most interesting chess matches that have taken place in the past two years of computer chess programs vs. grandmasters. Have there been any good matches where both sides were given the full amount of time typical in a world class match with an appropriate number of games to determine a winner? Also, do we have any clearer evidence that computers have in fact reached grandmaster strength? I remember 2-3 years ago there was simply not enough long length matches to firmly conclude one way or another (although it was looking pretty close). Do we now have enough data to make any firm conclusions, and have computer programs increased in strength in any significant amount vs. humans in the past two years? Thank you for any information you can provide.
