Hi Uri,

you are correct the information is no longer correct. However I'm quoting from
shredderchess.com:

"The Shredder chess programs by Stefan Meyer-Kahlen have already won ten titles
as World Computer Chess Champion, are leading in all important computer chess
rating lists and are accepted as the best chess programs for PCs."

I don't think that is correct either in fact I know of no (important or not)
rating list in which Shredder is leading. Fruit at least leads those rating
lists where Rybka is not yet listed. ;-)

What can we conclude from this? Never trust what is written on the homepage of
the engine but use independent sources. Here however we can be proud to link
several independent sources on our page "Playing strength".

I think I modify the sentence ones Rybka is no longer in preview state.

regards

Joachim

P.S.: There will be a new stronger Fruit but not soon and whether we can cathc
Rybka is an open question (I don't think so given the verve with which Vasik is
working on his engine).
