Fruit is a great engine, one that I really like, but I don't think it will improve much more. Also Fruit commercial is basically a refined version of the best free source engine out. Fruit has probably helped strengthen every engine out there due to its free source. But I think Rybka will by far improve the most. As it is Rybka is far and away the strongest engine in the world, yet Rybka has glaring holes in it that can easily be fixed (see thread http://www.talkchess.com/forums/1/message.html?478152). Rybka so far has been able to beat all comers even on their own turf (read with their own books). If Vasik is able to implement the same knowledge based search into Rybka's endgame play, we might be in a situation where we have to start playing handicap chess to make things challenging!
