I'd qualify as a super freak by any means and have been buying chess playing
programs since Chessmaster 2000 (for the Apple ][). My first PC programs were
Mchess Pro 3.12 and... I honestly can't remember. Chess Genius 2 or 3 I think.
Not Rebel, since the first Rebel I bought was Rebel 8.0, though I subsequently
got Rebel 6 with my Saitek auto-sensory board. My first Chessbase was CB 4.0 for
DOS, and my first Chess Assistant was Chess Assistant 3.0, the first to offer
ECO type tables. My first post in RGCC was in 1995.
