Hi Fern, >Karl Marx predictions will be probed right at the end: profit economy does not >fit with higher and higher availability of productive capital. Profit economy >has a rol in an intermediate phase of dvevelopment of industry, commerce, etc. >That phase is being surpassed by now, I believe. Well, Microsoft and other giants try to sidestep this threat on several areas. The more complicated the service you provide or, more general, the larger the moat around your business model, the better you can protect yourself against the china-ing of your area and diminishing the corresponding financial turnover. On the other hand even China will develop which will have consequences on its needs and on what it can deliver for which costs (people all over the world hate to work hard for almost nothing in return - their wishes and needs grow over time). I don't think the conclusion is necessarily that profit economy will disappear. Honestly, I don't foresee the consequences yet (well, who does). Best, Martin
