I don't think this matter too much at the moment, maybe this change after Rybka
is out.

In a game maybe 90% of the moves have a 'GM move', eg. the correct move/plan, so
a style/personality stands for only 5-10% of the moves. To try to find this GM
move I think its best to use the engine as a follower where you are the master
of creating candidates. From average clubplayer and above it is just as probably
that this move is within your 3-4 candidate than that an engine guess it. You
can of course use some multimove search to let the engine too have 3-4
candidates but this reduse the search strength very much.

When you have gone through some variation with the engine as follower and back
up to the start of the variation, you will often find that the engine change its
opinium to give your move as bestmove now. If you don't get it to change its
move then follow his suggestion and either you or the engine will change
its/your mind.

A deep combination is a rare thing in a game, most missing tactics are so easy
that any engine find it.
