I have been trying various Hiarcs 10 settings.
As posted before, +hypermodern +aggressive and threat depth=5 were not
especially successful in a blitz test v Deep Shredder.
Previously I had also tested the above together with +combinations and
-futility, and that was not impressive either.
However it was suggested that I try +hypermodern +aggressive td=5 and just
+combinations.
I am not sure which of these could be called Thorsten Czub's settings.
I have now completed 100 games of 3+1 blitz, Hiarcs 10 (with the above settings)
v 2-threaded Deep Shredder, ponder on, on an Apple Quad 4x2.5GHz (hence using 3
processors for the match), and so far the results are much more promising: after
100 games it is neck and neck.
