Steen says that Fruit was still not as knowledgable as Fritz or Shredder, even when it was top, but Rybka DID do the trick, and played better chess (in his expert extimation) than all of them. Therefore, I havn't seen something which looked more promissing than Rybka, and, Rybka isn't finished for this year yet, either, and it might even continue updating throught the year, if need be. Shredder, we are waiting for now, and I think they are still ambitious to be on top, and we'll soon see if they were able to know how to do it. Junior we are also waiting for, perhaps. Hiarcs has already done its job, probably till next December or so. And there may be others. But so far, it looks like Rybka is the star. S.Taylor
