I agree, and look at this differently. Version 1.1 was supposedly only to be a
major bugfix of the original beta. Nothing more. Version 1.2 is to be the
bugfixed version with endgame knowledge. I'll grant you the endgame knowledge
hasn't yet arrived, and even the bugfixed version has been a bit delayed,
however the latest beta version is stronger and has a revamped search, and
according to the website, Beta 10 will be even stronger, with a number of
parameters to allow the buyers try and help find the best combination. So
despite the delay in the unimproved but bugfixed (and they aren't that many, nor
that bad) version, you already get improved versions, which I think are due to
two reasons:
1) Vasik is a bit of a workaholic and clearly felt the inspiration he had to
improve the search was worth this, and
2) He know that Fruit 3.0 and Shredder 10 will undoubtedly be released soon, and
can expect serious competition, so this should also help secure his seat on the
throne.
In other words, he is just trying to deliver the best. Now that isn't so bad, is
it?
