People tend to come to quick conclusions, including myself. However, this is a mistake and deserves further attention. I have seen many test results from people that run a 100 games at 3 min and then claim the setting is weak. Funny! I will never test only blitz results as they can be greatly influenced by factors that "CAN" possible weaken an engine at longer time controls. This is not saying that being strong at blitz leads to that but perhaps does not gain as much as when the time control increases. This has been my observation when testing. My plan will be to play 1000+ games at various time controls 30 min or greater and then if anyone is interested I can provide the games. However, I will not hold my breath, when I concluded my 1000 game match between Fruit 2.1 and Shredder 9.1 none asked. Oh well, its damn fun for me and I can learn about chess. Lastly, anyone who does not see the potential of Thorsten settings needs to play more games or check your settings (IMHO. Try 100 games at 30 min or greater, you will be surprised, cheers
