In correspondence chess using chess programmes for analysis is a must. There're
very few players who do not use them.

I don't believe test positions have something to do with real chess. They're
more or less tactical, even those in WM-Test. Game analysis is the best judge.
Of course, it's very subjective, but I find Rybka or Shredder more useful for my
own CC games. Other correspondence chess players may differ from me. I used to
use Fritz for analysis but it's not very good for my own games. Of course, it's
my own point of view. Others may like Hiarcs or Fritz more.
