Dear rolf,

I think it is ubsurd to suggest that CCC members are under the swoon of vasik's
marketing tricks

(e.g., " I for one see a gross
injustice in this appearance of Rybka, what is called aggressive marketing")

I don't think there is a hobby/community on earth that is more critical of its
subject matter. I don't think many CCC members fall for superficial marketing
tricks (I would guess they are less likely to fall for tricks than the general
chess playing comunity).

Members here talk in terms of thousands of tests of the engine and margin or
error and varying paremters, and they get excited when all these rigourous tests
suggest Rybka is easily better then any engine in the world

I can assure you, if rybka was not so strong, than no amount of vasik marketing
would be able to sell it.

best
Joseph
