After a while, you will see EPD strings just like a chessboard. But if not, you can put a D in front of them and visualize them literally: [D]8/5p1p/8/6k1/8/6P1/5PP1/7K w - - bm Kh2; If you want to analyze a position with a chess program, most of them can understand EPD.
