Absolutely true!

For engine authors another formula is appropriate:

ROD = 50% + (n * 15%)

N   = number of chess engines you have AUTHORED
ROD = risk of divorce.

Unless of course your engine is named after your beloved.... then the formula is
modified thus:

ROD = 50% +  (n * 15%) - (x * 35%)

where x is the number of engines named after spouse.
