Depends on which dual-core you are talking about.  AMD dual-cores have dual
level-1 and level-2 caches.  The only thing they lack is a second memory
controller so they share that, plus the path to anything else off-chip as well
since the hypertransport was not replicated.

any program that can use two cpus will work just fine..
