The Chessbase interface has been around for a long enough time for Chessbase to
get it right. If they have not done so, they sell a buggy product which you pay
for whether or not you like it, want it, need it or already have it. In
addition, you have to use their GUI because they make sure that that their
associated engines only run in that GUI.

I am not quite sure why any rational person would want to do this. In England
actions like this are viewed as "cutting off your nose to spite your face".

Vasik might view the behavior of Chessbase as reflecting a business policy that
they think will be profitable for them. If he does, he can be forgiven for not
rushing to their defence.

He will probably be pleased if he sells 1500 copies of version 1.2. If this is
the case then he may not become a multi-millionaire from this release.
Dunlop, the people who make the tyres for my car, don't have an independent
product. That is the nature of things in the modern world.

Users who spread information about the Rajlich webpage do so as their own
choice. Vas does not encourage them. Anyway, a lot more CCC readers will be
interested in the latest offering from the Rajlich website than will be
interested in this discussion. I am not interested in this discussion either - I
am only replying because I am bored.
