Yep, I was quite amazed as well. I paged through the engine analysis info while it was thinking - to see what followup moves the program analyses. The interesting thing is that the search depth info shows that the engine only searches to search depth 3_2. Now I take this to mean that part of the engine realises that, with the current continuation, it is meaningless to search any deeper as the game will end within three moves - yet the program's eval module seems to not take the repetition draw into account when calculating the position's evaluation. I suspect that, since the move with the best eval gets chosen in the end, the bug in the eval function causes the machine to go for the drawing line. Very weird indeed. Regards, Jaco
