But technically it may be a passed pawn. So in my terminology a passed pawn has no pawn oponents in front or on either side. With a free pawn i normally think of a passed pawn that is not blocked by officers at the moment, so it is free to move forward. So I feel I would have been more correct to say passed pawns when describing Rybkas play. But I am starting to get tired, so I hope I do not make a mess of this. Torstein
