Although it's a long way from a scientific or statiscally valid sample, I have seen what appears to be a dramatic difference with the 10x Beta. I haven't been playing matches, but rather analyzing GM games with it. That's why this is not scientific or statiscally valid. My observation is that it finds the correct move (or at least as close as any of the engines can come to the correct move) much more quickly than the competitors. It's not so much that it finds better moves so often, but rather it finds the right move within seconds, where Fritz 9, Hiarcs 10 or earlier Rybka may take minutes. Having said that, I also think it finds the right move more often, although that could just be a factor of time. The others might also find just as much, given enough time. When I started using the 10x Beta I was struck by how often it picked the same move as the GM - and within seconds. Paul
