the top ten programs....i think are pretty much in the same range...talking about their strengths......i wouldn't be surprised if rebel beats cm6000...rebel just have too much positional understanding than cm6000....playing cm6000...i noticed it play moves that i will never consider because it is too anti-positional but my view is one coming from a lowly 2000 player.and everytime it plays something like that it usually gets itself into trouble..i am not in the right position to judge...but rebel is more to my liking...it plays a much more human like game as i noticed. but anyway, cm6000 never fails to provide me with interesting moments and it is a "very" dangerous opponent when the position is just right: a tense tactical battle and it has crushed me innumerable times in such positions especially when the "flag" is pretty close to going down and i'm sure that cm6000 can give a good account of itself against any program in such positions... but let's wait and see for cm7000....maybe it will be much stronger, and hopefully has a good positional grasp. i hope mindescape, or whoever is coming up with these king engines will have some improvements to an already worthy program.
