Hello Andreas, I had a little question, maybe Sandro knows, we could read that in Paderborn and in Leiden Stefan played with his Mac version, and that Gravis actually sponsored him with the machine: http://www.shredderchess.de/schach-news/shredder-news/ipccc2005b.html (Sorry folks, only in German but the text is easily translatable I think) But did Stefan Meyer-Kahlen not optimize Deep Shredder for 64-bit yet on the G5? Stefan writes he got the machine from Gravis long in advance to optimize his program, so it would seem plausible he already made a 64bit version? Or would that not run on regular Macs, so Mac owners will then probably not get this version? I have no idea about the latest Apple developments, I only know Apple decided to switch to Intel chips instead of IBM, does that apply to the G5 already or is that still IBM architecture? I thought that was the reason Sandro had to ask permission from Stefan, as this probably is also the machine Shredder will be running in Turin in May WCCC, I would think Shredder is already well optimized for this computer. Regards, Eelco
