Hi,
fourth G/60 game between Nigel Short and Super Expert C. White wins again !
So far : Nigel Short 2.5, Super Expert C 1.5
White had a very small advantage, the Nigel Short opens the position here by
playing Nf5 (according to Fritz 9, the position is now balanced)
[D]3rr1k1/1p1nbppp/pqp1pn2/6B1/2PP4/P2Q1NN1/1P2RPPP/4R1K1 w - - 0 16
After a few captures, the Super Expert makes a mistake : Qxb2 would lead to an
equal position but it plays Qd8 and Fritz's evaluation goes from +0.05 to +1.8
for Nigel Short
[D]3Br1k1/1p1n1ppp/pqp5/8/2PPp3/P2Q1N2/1P3PPP/4R1K1 b - - 0 19
Next mistake from Super Expert : Nh5 which will lead to the capture of all black
pawns on the queen side.
[D]6k1/5ppp/2pq1n2/p3N3/P1PP1P2/3Q3P/6P1/5K2 b - - 0 28
[D]6k1/5ppp/8/N7/P1PP1n2/7P/6P1/5K2 b - - 0 32
now the game is finished, I let the computers play until Super Expert C
resignation.
Alain
