Yes I know some will be >pleased about this! :-) >You're on a hiding to nothing and it's just ridiculous. i wouldn't be pleased your one of the few here who actually care about this place ,,apart from the topic of PC Engines being discussed many post and lurk here and dont give one seconds thought as to the running of the place if they logged on tomorrow and the CCC was no longer here..they would stare at the computer a few seconds and go to RGCC or some other place like the Winboard forum and not even miss a beat look at the poor response Steve S got when he asked for donations the first and only time ever back in August 2004 less then 10% of active email accounts gave anything i agree the place needs some changes..better control to stave off the ever present onslaught of the trollers and their elk..it also needs the archive system back up and running(broken now since May 04) the problem is..this place continues to lose money for ICD and so their is no real impetus for Steve to pour even more time and money into upgrading it this is one of the reasons i suggested that program authors be asked to at least make a donation if they are going to sell their programs here it wasnt to hurt the authors..it was to someway find a way to add some money into the CCC koffers for much needed upgrading you think i like to get absurd emails from trollers here using language that i dont even hear on the streets of NYC on a bad day?? i think it comes down to money Graham if we want these much needed changes..we need to anti-up some money perhaps another request for donations with the money "ring fenced" for the changes?? Realistic Regards Steve
