The simple answer is if you do not wait you are actually giving up something, too. Those who wait until 1.2 is released have a better guarantee they'll get what they are paying for. The promised version does not yet exist so this is just like gambling in that you are taking *some* risk. Anyone who would dismiss the risk on the surface is not being honest. The risk might be so low that you individually can quickly dismiss it (for yourself). But many people have been acting like the risk is absolutely zero and that is not the actual truth.
