I'm sorry you've lost your taste for it, but chess is NOT a boring game.
Computer chess is sometimes boring, and sometimes not. For a long-time
professional, I'm sure it must be for you, but I think you're being a bit harsh
and possibly have forgotten when it wasn't.

I made a new Nunn-type suite in a thread below, only to provide greater variety,
and if possible, greater viewing pleasure. Some games aren't very interesting to
watch (just as in normal everyday chess), and others are quite interesting.

It's interesting how the fighting spirit of players in tournaments is often
judged by the number of draws in the event, and even computer chess matches
seemed to be headed towards a greater number of draws as the levels went up.
Still, In a match between Rybka and Fritz 9, the score is 28.5 - 14.5 for Rybka
with only 11 draws. in other words a staggering 75% of the games were decisive.
Not quite like watching paint dry IMHO.
