The program that comes with Fritz 9, "Fritz Chess Benchmark.exe" found in folder ChessProgram9 is a stand alone benchmark utility that will measure the speed of your hardware, including systems with multi processors. This is different from the chess engine Fritz 9 "Fritz 9.eng" found in the folder Engines. The chess engine Fritz 9 does not support multi processors. You will have to wait for Deep Fritz 9 which I have been told will be available in the spring of this year (2006).
