If you do decide to write a distributed perft, I ask for an extension to it: Whenever you encounter a game outcome (drawn or won or lost) spit out the game state and the EPD position. Wouldn't it be interesting (for instance) to know what all the game outcomes within the first 19 plies of chess are?
