Since when it is illegal to "tinker" with another person's chess program?

If so then I better get on my horse and delete every post that deals with
customized profiles, settings, compile options, and of course... renaming the
exe.

Please show where it is illegal to decompile or disassemble something. Since I
am a moderator taking delight in it, I want to know what illegal activities I
find delightful.
