I purchased Shredder 9 because it is the only commercial software (to my knowledge) available on Linux. I purchased Shredder many years ago when it was the only software to support true windowing. But I have since left the M$ world and Stefan is first again. I have sent e-mails to Chess Assistant (at least a couple of years ago) indicating that if they would support the Linux environment I would also re-support their product. Hasn't happened yet. For Linux, SCID, Crafty, and Shredder 9 are the way to fly. And don't mention WINE. Steve
