hi thomas, i tend to agree that despite what chessbase claims as there protocal, and how there gui really does behave,are two different things,native or uci. chessbase sold engines did have an atvantage over any native or uci nonchessbase engines. programmers have figured this out and adapted there programs accordingly. hence today we have fritz lagging against non-commercials. cb cant rely on there gui tricks anymore. reader of this forum since circa 1998 regards, mike
