Hi Joshua,

1. Think at it more simple:

In middle Game in average a knight in center is more valuable than a knight at
the corner. Thus give a knight a bonus for beeing in center. That´s what piece
square tables does. Add extra code for interaction with other pieces later.

Don´t bother on tactics in eval. The quiescence search will ensure that you only
eval positions where no capture can gain material.

2. An advice:
Implement 0x88, its more simple than bitboard. Try to implement the chess engine
on your own from scratch, even if it will take weeks of work. Else you will
never know how it works.

First implement the following:
Movegenerator + Search - Loop and make it work to give perft values.
(Perft: http://homepages.caverock.net.nz/~peter/perft.htm)

If you managed to implement this on your own add quiescense search an eval with
material only and continue until you have a correct playing engine.

Greetings Volker
