Hi, I don´t know about the Fritz9 GUI, but I have made some tests with the Fritz8 GUI. According my tests the Fritz8 GUI reduces the priority of the main working thread in UCI-Engines. This is not only a "windows" issue. When raising the priority back to normal the Fritz8 GUI will no longer draw calculating output in time (takes up to 5 seconds before you see pv, nps, ...). I think it is because of the GUI-Design that they have to lower the UCI-Engine priority. It is not initially built for supporting UCI engines. Greetings Volker
