Subject: CM 10 Tournament

Author: Clive Munro

Date: 00:01:58 01/24/06

I thought it might be interesting to try a tournament using the default CM10
Grandmaster personalities. So I have converted them all to Chessbase and set
them up on my two dedicated chess PCs.

I chose the best 48 and split them into 6 groups with each playing seven games .
The top 2 of each group will then go forward to the playoffs against each other
and the default King 3.3 program. I am also going to include one of Graham
Bank`s personalies “Behemoth”.

This will make a total off 14 personalities playing 13 games each. Time controls
are all at Game in 90mins + 30secs per move.

PCs specs are 2xAMD500 with 384MB ram, 128MB Hash. The PCs are connected
together using a serial cable.

I have completed all of the 6 rounds (168 games) in the last few months and the
winners of each round are listed below.

Group A winners	Spassky (W3D4L0) 5 Points
		Smyslov	(W4D2L1) 5 Points

Group B winners	Keres	(W4D3L0) 5.5 Points
Timman	(W3D2L2) 4 Points (best loser)
