I haven't had any communication with Johan in almost a year. I know that he was
a bit frustrated with the poor communication between he and Ubi Soft,
particularly when new versions of Chessmaster were released without him even
knowing about it (such as the very silly "Chessmaster Challenge").

I would certainly suspect that he is working, at least to some degree, on a new
version of The King, as it has now been a little over a year since CM for the
Xbox was released. Although it is surprising that there is not even a tiny
mention about a new version, and typically one will be announced several months
before it becomes available.
