Yes, the answer had been that each ply brings extra strength until we solve
chess. Or if you prefer, if the best move has been found, then an extra ply
cannot improve on perfection.

It's strange that you expect an engine that is somehow universally strong in any
type of position, when there aren't even humans who are like that. Even
Kasparov, possibly the greatest player to live (IMO), showed serious weaknesses
in specific areas of his game against Kramnik in their famous match.
