For material values, default piece values are 100. If you have a bishop as 3.1 as opposed to the default 3, then 3.1 divided by 3 multiplied by 100 gives you a value of 103 under Fritz. Always round down. Of course if your material/positional value is anything other than the default 0, all this goes out the window and you need to use Crafty log to ascertain the values. How you do this I'm not sure, but somebody else may care to explain. Hope this helps. Regards, Graham.
