The CCC does not seem to have as much interest in talking about Fritz 9, compared to other chess engines (Rybka, fruit 2.2.1, and hiarcs ). I wonder why this is? Fritz 9 seems to be one of the few programs that consistently gives rybka some problems and is probably the number 2 or 3 engine on a single processor. It's pretty darn strong. Perhaps here are some reasons for people not talking so much about fritz 1) people don't like fritz gui and often don't own it 2) Fritz and chessbase have dominated for so long that people love to hate them and cheer against them 3) fritz is a big corprate power, and the programers for rybka and fruit are brilliant individuals challenging the corporation or am i way off base?
