The main issue is why does fritz 9 lack coverage here? Well as the previous posts correctly stated, it was expected and chessbase spent a lot of time and money to position their product well in the eyes of the consumers. Furthermore, Chessbase is literally eating itself. They have had previous successes and it is unlikely they will ever again match them. Fruit 2.3, Shredder/DS10 UCI, and Rybka all will or have cut into their sales, no question whatsoever. It is also true that they have no 64 bit engines at all! The next chessbase items coming out will be J/DJ10 and DF9, and it seems unlikely in my mind that either of them will even match Rybka 1.2's amazing power! Plus, Chessbase overprices its products when compared with Lokasoft and Rybka's offerings.
