It just doesnt make sense to compare apples and oranges. Fritz was never intended to become first place in a engine vs engine ranking. The main priority was the quality offered to the chessplayers. Chessplayers are usually not the most interested testers of engine vs engine autoplayed games... Sigh. To Rybka in difference to Fritz I must add that normally the charta here forbids advertising. All the public beta-testing IS advertisement. It's not evil per se but it becomes a scandal if programs like - say - Gandalf are neglected. I never mentioned Gandalf before but I must speak it out. The whole campaign here is a) a violation of the charta and b) the neglection of more peaceful and reserved programmers like the ones of Gandalf or say The King. Or of The Thinker. You cant just "explain" everything with the will of the masses. Otherwise we end in something well different that a democratic CCC. If we could control the identities one would get the neccessary result that would prove the intention of advertisement. - Now that is why nobody speaks about Fritz although the commercial interests are well existing to advertise for Fritz but that wouldnt be tolerated. That's it, if we look at it a bit deeper.
