...none of the suggested methods works for me.

I deinstalled HIARCS by means of its deinstaller, ran a registry cleaner to get
rid of eerything left, then reinstalled HIARCS in a another directory. No
success.

Then I tried to run a match and saw in horror that my previous match and engine
names were somehow restored! So there remained something after all the 2-hour
work.

If I find the place where this information is stored, maybe I can delete it and
be a happy man again.
