I think the engine v engine setup info is stored in ..

C:\Documents and Settings\(profile name)\My Documents\ChessBase\CompBase

in filename CompComp.cbmatch. Insert your profile name for "(profile name)"
I doubt if any uninstall/install would touch that file. Maybe try renaming or
deleting it ? I know I will when this bug hits me again :)
