Hi,

an example. Imagine a white bishop capturing a pawn at h7 and the answer g6
blocking the bishop to leave again. If now the search of an chess engine stops
after g6 it will not see that the bishop is trapped and can be captured in two
moves. The next moves are out of horizont of the engine. Searching deeper will
get this capture into the horizont.
